    Professor and Chair in Digital Health. Also, Director of the Centre on Digital Health and Quality of Life Technology, the School of Computing and Communication, Faculty of Science and Technology, and the Division of Health Research, Faculty of Health and Medicine (50/50 appointment).

    Director, “Health Innovation – Digital”, one of the five cross-campus operating steering groups that make up the Health Innovation Campus (HIC) – a £162m investment and initiative by Lancaster University to move technology and data into the pathways of health and care, to improve outcomes and enhance the quality of life of all people including individuals with special needs. Overseeing a group of 40 academics, staff and business and engagement personnel. Leading curricular activities to establish Masters and PhD degrees in Digital Health. Leading efforts to create research platform capacities (Lancaster University Smart House and the Digital Health Maker Space). Leading and coordinating efforts to lead large grant submissions.

    Board member and lead of the digital health infrastructure and strategies in the Fylde Whyndyke Garden Village - one of ten NHS England Healthy New Towns development projects. WGV, located 23 miles SW of the Lancaster University campus, is a 1400-unit, green grass development which provide for a unique opportunity for learning and sharing how to design healthy communities in terms of public areas, neighborhoods, and community hub (school, wellness center and health care facility) to promote health and wellbeing, active and healthy living and ageing, prevent illnesses and improve people’s quality of life.
